The Integrated Ferroic Laboratory designs and studies the dynamical behavior of magnetic, ferroelectric, and magneto-electric materials and micro/nano-structures. We are interested in new concepts for electric-field control of the electrical, magnetic, optical, and structural properties via strain, charge, ions, and exchange bias, which will be used for next-generation data storage, wireless communication, magnetic sensing, and energy transformation. Our lab is well equipped with a variety of tools for the growth and characterization of integrated ferroic thin films, heterostructures, and micro/nano devices.
